New Years Eve!

So this is what it was looking like a little after 10:00.Shaylin thought it was pretty funny...Happy New Year to all our family & friends..looking forward to seeing what the Lord will bring in 2009!

Our weekend @ Grannys was a blast! My cousins Carley,Tiffany,Brittany & Gavin were there.Brynn & her BFF Brittney came out also.We played in the snow,slid down the hill,made snow ice cream & Shaylin even lost another tooth while there!(2nd lost in a week)We hung out next to the fire,ate,laughed,watched movies & ate some more!Sooo much fun & cant wait to do it again!

A great Thanksgiving....Since the kids had all week off from school we went up to Granny's on monday to help with the grocery shopping & cooking.We baked lots of pies & muffins...made choc choc chip pancakes & pumpkin pancakes!I even managed to workout in between all the baking.(really helps w/the guilt of eating all the sweets).Shaylin & I drove back home wed morn to pick up Jim & picked up my cousin Dee & Karch(who was visiting (from Vegas) her sister in Brea)on our way thru the 57 fwy so that worked out perfectly.My bro Rob came late wed night & thurs morning my dad,stepmom,niece,aunti Lala & Tom arrived.Brynn & my cousin Carley came on friday.
The kids had fun playing,riding on Jims motorcycle & Karch was Shaylins constant shadow.Oh how he loves his Shaynuts and she loves being the "BIG" cousin when she's with him! We had a great time & look forward to our next visit in 3 wks!

It was time to say goodbye to our spooky backround & music.I can't believe it's November!!At least we have lots of time off from school this month!!We will start counting the days until Granny's for Thanksgiving.Until next time...

Spooky Days

We had our annual trip to the pumpkin patch so the kids could walk through the haunted house & grandmas pumpkin carving party.Grandma went all out with the treats...candy,cupcakes,shakes,pumpkin cheesecake...oh & dinner!She always has crafts & its always fun to see how the carved pumpkins turn out.Jess & Shay decided to decorate their pumpkins this year so that made it easy.On fri the Dr. said he thought Shaylin had a viral thing going on so she wasnt able to go to Grandmas.It wasnt the same without her & Jim there.I took lots of pictures for her & brought home treats & crafts so she didnt miss out on that.There is lots of decorations around the house,scary music & laughs!Always fun when we get to hang out with the family.

Here are some pictures from our annual Literacy Picnic at school.Every year we gather on the field with picnic baskets filled with breakfast snacks & books & for an hr or so the kids get out of class,hang with their special guests & read!

My cousin Tiffany & her 2 kids Brittany & Gavin came out from Canyon Lake.We haven't seen them for awhile & the baby got so big!The girls were so excited to play together,they put make up on & changed their clothes about a million times!!I told Jesse he was gonna be on diaper duty so he tried to hide in his room as much as possible!Baby Gavin was all smiles.He even woke up from his nap smiling.Jim was in baby heaven carrying Gavin around.We always enjoy when they come visit & I always feel blessed that Tiff & I have always had such a close bond.We look forward to their next visit! I know it's been awhile !!

I know..I know...it's been awhile since my last entry.I've been a little under the weather,nothing like some serious Vertigo to ruin your day!! Yep it's been fun! But I think I'm on the road to recovery.We just keep praying it will go away & stay away.
Work has been slow for Jim for awhile now so we've just been hangin out not spending any extra cash on stuff like normal.We would have renewed our Disney passes by now but are still waiting patiently for the big day.We are DIEING to go so I thought I would add some spooky music to our page for me & the kids to listen to.If we close our eyes we can just imagine ourselves in the Haunted Mansion!

Birthday wknd coming to an end

Well the weeknend is coming to an end.We had lots of fun @ the beach on sat.Ate way to much junk food & had lots of laughs with our friends.Shaylin ended up not feeling to well late sat night but Jesse helped take care of her sun morning while Jim & I slept in.She was excited about her makeover @ Libby Lu and she looked so pretty but then started to not feel so good again towards the end.She had a great bday wknd & says thankyou to all her friends & family who celebrated with her!! Shaylin woke up very happy to be finally turning 7 !! I cant believe my littlest baby is getting so big.She wore her birthday girl crown to school and was looking forward to her bday dessert.Grandma & Grandpa came over to celebrate.She got her very own MP3 player & Spider Man 3 dvd....she was very happy!!We will be hanging out @ Bolsa all day Sat with some of our friends & Sun Shaylin & I will be having a girls afternoon @ Libby Lu.Here's some pix & I will post more after the Bday wknd has come to a end.

Back to School

Well.. it was back to school today.That meant getting up @ 5:30 again...uugghhh!! :( Shaylin was pretty excited to see all her friends,her teacher, to be a 2nd grader & probably most importantly wear all her new super sassy school clothes!! Jesse wasn't as excited but put on a semi happy face on his way to school to be "my big 4th grade boy".Hopefully these 1st few wks will be an easier adjustment for him then last year.He has his Aid Mrs.H who we love & know she keeps him on top of things in school.
Pray for me that I'm able to figure out 4th grade math this year!! Until next time..

Lots more summer fun!!

We've had alot more fun round here...we were able to go to Wild Rivers one day.We didn't get any pictures but it was sooo much fun.We went up to grannys last wknd...hung out with Robbie & Karch.It was pretty hot so the kids hung out in the LITTLE pool trying to keep cool.Robbie brought his boat with him so on that sunday we cruised up to Big Bear Lake for the day.It's a really pretty lake with tons of mansion size log homes to look at.
The kids and I also went out to the Lenarths for a few days.We hung out by the pool and made a trip to Soak City in Palm Springs.It was a rainy & muggy but a perfect day.The kids swam & ran around like maniacs in the kids zone & went on all the super fast water slides.We had sooo much fun!!Here's a slide show with some pics from our good times...

Week with the Bacas

Our friends the Bacas from Vegas came out for their annual summer trip.They used to stay w/us but this was their 2nd year bringing their trailer & camping out @ Bolsa Chica.It was a fun filled week of hanging @ the beach,playing in the water,riding bikes,shopping Main St.,dinner @ Rubys,shopping Bella Tera,Harry's Cafe for breakfast.We even went to the Fair for dangerous carni rides & all the deep fried foods we could eat! Whoever says deep fried Oreos & Twinkies aren't good for you just doesn't know what their talking about!!
Every year we look forward to their visit & every year their visit goes by way to fast.Maybe nxt year they can stay 2 wks !!! We had a blast w/them as usual & already are counting the days till their nxt trip.Here's some pics from the week.Until next time...
